Where can I book a lesson for myself?
You can book a lesson through hopoti.com. Our stable can be found on Hopoti under the name “Espoon talli”. Please remember to add us to your favorites to make things easier. If you have any issues with Hopoti, you can also contact us regarding lesson bookings by calling or sending a message to +358403561099.
Can I try a lesson?
Yes, of course! On Hopoti you can easily see the lesson level, instructor, and time. From there you can choose the trial lesson that suits you best.
Can I choose the instructor for a private lesson?
Private lessons can be booked through Hopoti, and an instructor is already assigned to them. If your preferred instructor does not have available private lessons, you can ask the instructor directly or send a message to +358403561099 and we can arrange it.
Are the horses and ponies schooled regularly?
Our instructors each have their own designated horses, and their schooling is also their responsibility. The instructors communicate daily about observations regarding the horses and ponies, and schooling is done regularly or whenever needed.
Do the horses go outside every day?
Our horses spend time outdoors every day with their horse companions in large paddocks for about seven hours.
Can the customer prepare the horse themselves?
Yes, as long as the horse has not been used in the previous lesson. The same applies after the lesson when taking care of the horse. In Hopoti you can always see whether your horse was in the previous lesson and whether it continues to the next lesson.
When will I know which horse I will ride?
The instructors aim to assign horses well in advance to keep track of the horses’ exercise levels and to plan the lesson content. Customers can see their horse assignments in Hopoti on the evening before the lesson.
Can riders of any level start riding at your stable?
Yes! Our stable offers lessons and courses for riders of all levels, from complete beginners to very experienced riders. We have a variety of horses suitable for all levels.
How is the lesson structured? Do you ride for the full 60 minutes?
In most cases, the full 60 minutes is spent riding. This includes the warm-up and cool-down at the walk, warm-up exercises, training or learning something new, and the final cool-down. The entire 60 minutes is guided by the instructor. However, we also offer courses for children where the time is divided so that half an hour is spent riding and half an hour doing stable activities or theory.
Do you go trail riding during lessons?
Yes! Trail riding is always included in the seasonal plan, and it can also be arranged more or less often based on riders’ requests. The Espoon Kartano area offers beautiful trail riding routes.
Does the stable have an indoor riding arena?
At the moment we do not have an indoor riding arena, so we ride in outdoor arenas. Our stable has an upper arena located directly in front of the stable and a lower arena behind the stable at the bottom of the hill. Both arenas are well lit and large enough to accommodate two lessons at the same time.
Is there a heated indoor space where visitors can stay?
Yes! Our stable has a heated tack room as well as a lounge area with an office, kitchen, tables, reading material, and sports equipment. The lounge is a great place to work or spend time with fellow riders. It is also a good waiting area for visitors.
Can I come to the stable with a stroller or an umbrella?
Our lessons are mainly held in the upper arena, which is located directly in front of the stable. We ask everyone to keep in mind that horses, as prey animals, may be startled by strollers or open umbrellas. Please do not bring strollers or umbrellas to the front of the stable. Instead, leave them near the parking area where bicycles and cars are parked.
Are there other animals at the stable?
At the moment only horses live at our stable, but we do have a few stable dogs that you may see around with the instructors. Eerika is often accompanied in stable work by the gentle giant Remu, and Hanne is often joined during lessons by the playful and people-loving Nemo.
lempeä jätti Remu ja Hannen mukana tuntienpidossa on leikkisä ja ihmisrakas Nemo.
